orn in Hamburg, Mona Mur emerged from the German underground of the early 1980s, blending post-punk, industrial, and electronic music with a bold pop sensibility. Collaborating with artists like FM Einheit, Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten), Dieter Meier (Yello), and The Stranglers' J.J. Burnel, she crafted a distinctive sound. Beyond music, she has worked in film and game composition. In this visually rich documentary, filmmaker Dietmar Post engages her in a candid conversation, exploring her artistic journey, creative defiance, and the challenges of navigating the music industry.
